It is located in "Chehlyovo" country in the western part of the Rhodope mountain, 25 km from mountainous and spa resort Velingrad and about 130 km from Sofia. It occupis an area of 34, 481 ha of typical mountainous relief with an altitude ranging between 800 to 2200 m.  The natural forest stands consist of Austrian ans Scots pine, fir, spruce, beech and aspen.
The attractive nature and moredn accommodation facilities offer wonderful opportunities for hunting and fishin tourism. The main game species are: red deer, roe deer, capercaillie, wild goat and wild boar. The best trophies gained in the region of the Station are for red deer with a trophy weight - 11,1 kg, wild boar with a tusk length - 25.5 cm and wild goat with 100 points.
"Chepino" provides an excellent hunting lodge in the "Kara tepe" country. |
