In the middle of the northeastern part of Bulgaria. just 130 km from Varna Airport and 430 km from Sofia Airport is located on of the oldest and most traditional hunting areas "Palamara". It was established in 1932 by King Boris III as "a royal hunting grounting" and for more than seventy years it has stood the test of time and strengthened its position as one of the elite game breeding stations. Since its establishment "Palamara" has been used as a general base for breeding and resettleent of red deer in the country. Nowadays the main activities of the Station are game breeding and organized hunting tourism.

The area of the Station is about 4,865 ha, the relief is hilly to plain and the altitude is less than 350 m. Typical for the region are the deciduous and mixed forests, checkered with numerous game fields and surrounded by fertile agricultural areas. This rich and varied nutrition base permits the maintenance of a considerable stock of big game within a relatively small area.

Due to highly professional selective hunting practicies, trophies of red deer range from 6 to 12 kg, wild boar from 14 to 25 cm and roe deer from 250 to 450 g are obtained annualy. "palamara" provides selective hunting for red deer - stags, hinds and calves, driven hunting of wild boar and hunting of predators - jackal, fox and wildcat.
