Geme Breeding Station "Razlog" is situated in the southeastern part of Rila mountain and the northwestern part of the magnificent Pirin mauntain, where those two places combine into the beautiful "Predela" country and in a part of the West Rhodopes.
The distance from the capital Sofia is 150 km and the total area of the Station is about 13,690 ha. The coniferius tree species - Scots and Austrian pine, spruce and fir are prevailent. Beech is the most common deciduous tree species.
Wild boar, red deer, capercaillie and mouflon are the main game species. In addition, the Capra idex has adapted successfully to the local conditions.
The Game Breeding Station is a starting point to one most beautiful biosphere reserve "Bayovy dupki - Dzhindzheritsa".
