The hunting grounds of "Rousalka" are situated about 200 km from the capital Sofia, on the northern slopes of the Central Balkan range and at the foot of its highest peak Botev. Stretching over nearly 13,000 ha of very rugged terrains lie centuries-old beech forests. The tranquility and the vigin nature of the area combine to protect the natural habitats of brown bear, red deer, wild boar and roe deer.
The trophies available for brown bear vary from 350 to 450 CIC points, trophies for red deer vart in weight from 7 to 9 kg, wild boar tusks are from 18 to 23 cm in length and roe deer trophies are within the range 300 to 400 g. The best trophies gained to date are: bear - 475 CIC points, red deer trophy weight of about 122 kg, roe deer with weight of 420 g and wild boar with tusks length of about 25 cm.
